What Kind of Beach Are You?

When winter feels like it will never end, we like to employ one of two sure-fire strategies. The first: A simple reminder that spring is just a few weeks away (really!). The second: leap into action and book a getaway. No matter which one you choose (probably depends on which one your budget allows), both lead to the same activity: plotting your warm weather look right now. In the spirit of shopping for the sunshine, we've outlined three looks we love for the spring and summer. And just in case you do decide that a trip is on order, we've paired them with favorite resorts that are easy to get to—and not so obvious they'll be totally booked up. If you're looking for more ideas and deals (there are plenty to be had right now), we're fans of Jetsetter (it's members only, but you can sign up by using this link) and Luxury Link.

Think: Sixties Morocca, Talitha Getty style
Go: The sleepy Mexican island of Holbox might feel as far away as the Maldives, but all it takes to get there is a flight to Cancun  and then a two hour drive to the northern coast, where you catch a quick ferry. Stay at Casa Sandra, a laid-back 20 room jewel box with airy, well styled rooms and a picturesque beach. Rates start at around $300 per night.
