We Bag Snobs define the Treasure bag as that special piece we keep forever or pass on to future generations, usually coming in a luxe exotic skin or amply embellished to unique levels of covetability. Tamara Mellon, of Jimmy Choo fame, defines her Treasure bag as this itty-bitty spotted number. Undeniably adorable from every angle, I love the oversized leopard print and the python-embossed trim really makes it, for a double dose of exotic-effect charm.
I know Treasures, whether of the Bag Snob or Ms. Mellon persuasion, tend to air on the side of tiny, but I can’t help but wish this one was a bit bigger. Coming in at barely over 6” by 4”, this satin-lined shoulder-to-crossbody style is too tiny to be anything but cutesy. A few inches larger, and this otherwise ideal baby bag would become something you could treasure for all kinds of occasions, from the odd errand to the night on the town. On NET-A-PORTER for $595.
Pair with: A pair of high-heeled sandals that are equal parts earthy, seductive, and glam. Like Miu Miu’s lace-up, cut-out sandals, seamed and stitched to creamy leather perfection. On My Theresa for $850.
