When I think of cropped jeans, pedal pushers and Bermudas from the 90's always pop into my mind and put me off, however, cropped jeans these days are a lot more stylish and flattering, as well as versatile and classic! They range from ankle grazer skinnies to boyfriend jeans and there’s a style to suit everyone! I’ve put together a round up of some of the hottest cropped jeans for Spring 2014! Check them out below!

Boyfriend jeans are always an amazing way to wear cropped jeans in a more casual way. They are comfortable and slouchy as well as being looser so you don’t sweat too much during the heat. Everyone loves a good pair of boyfriend jeans that are cropped! You can’t go wrong with them when it comes to having an easy pair of denim to throw on to run some errands! Even though they are more casual, they can easily be styled with heels and a blazer for a night out and work just as well!

White and pastel tones really scream Spring when it comes to cropped jeans to me! White is the perfect shade to freshen up any outfit and it also reflects heat, so you get a double bonus! Pastel pinks and purples are another great option, as are mints and lemons as they make great colours for cropped jeans. The trick to getting it right when it comes to these shades though is picking a sleek pair of skinny cropped jeans which hit a bit above the ankle, this ensures you have a flattering fit!

If you aren’t one for lighter colours and always love your dark blue and black denim, why not opt for crops in a indigo shade? These colours of denim are often reserved for Autumn and Winter, however if you are wearing a cropped jean you can definitely make it work for Spring by pairing them with wedges and a soft blouse. With darker crops, you can also get away with choosing a pair which is slightly flared out at the calves, like the pair above from Rag & Bone!

Distressed mid to light blue cropped jeans are always a Spring must have! These can look amazing when cuffed or with ankle zips! They give off that casual easy vibe which is great for pairing with sandals and tees! Distressed blue denim is harder to dress up though so these washes are best saved for casual days! If yours are a little too long for you, just give them a roll at the hem to a height that looks the most flattering on your legs. You can do this by looking in a full length mirror.

Finally, plain washed blues are also a great option! They are that in-between shade of dark indigo and light blue, but without the distressing so they have a cleaner and more smarter appearance. Again, these can be worn cuffed and a little more slouchy if you are going for that look, but I find these to work really well with ankle booties and a higher rise, like the Goldsign pair above! That’s such a flattering look!
